You will make a wiki page entitled Mon Autobiographie. You will tell the story of your life using the French you have learned this year, and present it orally to the class, in small groups, the day of your final exam. Your objective is to show how much French you can now use – orally and in writing. Your wiki page must include all the following information:
- Greet your readers and introduce yourself, including your name, age, birthday, and describe what you are like (personality and physical appearance)
- Tell about what you like and do not like to do – describe your favorite activities and tell why you like them
- Tell about your home town – what is it like, what is the weather like in the different seasons, and what you like to do during each season, including sports, activities, pastimes…
- Tell about your classes and teachers, including your opinion about them, when and where you go to classes (include times and days)
- Describe your home and tell about your family and at least 2 friends
- Tell about what you like and do not like to eat and drink and why
- Tell about your shopping habits – foods, clothes, etc, including descriptions of the items. Also, tell where you go to purchase these things
- Tell about what you are going to do this summer, including any travel plans you may have
- Tell about your favorite sports and/or pastimes. What do you like to do for fun and leisure? With whom? When and where, including the seasons and weather conditions
- Make an appropriate conclusion for your story
Your wiki page must include:
- 10 sections/pages/slides minimum plus a title page/cover. You can make a table with 2 columns and 10 rows on your wiki page – one column for the illustrations, pictures, etc. The other column is for your story’s text.
- you may also create your story using any of the tech tools we have learned to use this year: SimpleBooklet, Google Presentations, FlipBook (on FlipSnack.com), Glogster, ThingLink, Voki, Prezi... or you may propose a new tool if you like.
- at least 7 sentences per section of the story
- illustrations/movies for each part of your story – use photos, clip art, nice drawings, or take pictures/videos of your own, and upload them on your wiki, embed them, or put them into one of the tech tools listed above
- minimum font size is 12 point on the wiki page. If you use tech tools, make the font larger for easy visibility
- post the link to your wiki page on Edmodo! DO IT TODAY! DO IT NOW!
Rough Drafts!
- You need to do rough drafts of your story. Write the story on paper. Include only the text of your story for the rough draft.
- Number the sentences from 1 to 7+ according to how you plan to place them on the page of your wiki. I will highlight correct parts of your sentences in class. You will then make corrections. I expect the final project to be perfect, so start your rough drafts right away! If you wait too long, your final copies will not meet expectations.
- I will not look at rough drafts after May 23rd.
- The final copy of your wiki must be done by May 30th.
- You will present your books in small groups the day of the final exam for an oral grade.
- If you want an A or a B, you may not read your book to the class – memorize your speech!
